I went to high school in Danville so this victory is extra sweet for me.
From the blogging side, babaloo did a fantastic job destroying Pombo online. (And so did Land of Enchantment at dKos/ePluribus Media.)
From the organizing side, our volunteers at the Defenders were just incredible. We had awesome volunteers this cycle and they did the district, California and the nation a great service.

The defeat of Pombo is one of the joys of this election, one of the great joys. He is one of the most loathsome sellouts in Congress and the fact that now Republicans will have a difficult time earning big bucks on K Street adds even more piquancy to his well earned defeat.
I have nothing but admiration for the happy crew that managed this victory.
