[Editor: ignore=off]The fact that McCain is calling for more troops to be shoved over the Iraq cliff should disqualify him forever from any consideration to be Commander of our troops.
H. Clinton is very little better, and the same applies.
Their postions are delusional or selfish. Both qualities very undesirable in a leader.

Of course we are. It's the WAR ON TERROR, don't ya remember Benito.
bendejo, Stop your hit and run comments unless you want to engage in normal conversation and civil debate.
I can't find the link, but last night I read that we just lost the highest US ranking officer, a Colonel. He was training Iraqi forces!
bushchimp was happy to point out on his "better late than never" trip to Viet Nam that he saw the lake that McLame crashed into.
The candidate who actually went to Vietnam didn't win last time around, and it ain't gonna happen in 08 either. McLame should save his wife's money, and do us all a big favor by not running.
Posted by TIKI AL at November 19, 2006 08:10 AMThen where you gonna run after that, chump? Hide under the quivering Dems' skirts? We're not even fighting a war, babies.
Where the fuck you gonna run, chump? It takes no in-depth analyses to understand what your support of this fascist regime brought to the world: Stopping Al Qaeda in Afghanistan? Hell no, you asswipes went to Iraq for...whatever the new excuse of the day is. WMDs; Turrists; Saddam bad; Bring democracy to our brown brothers; Turrists redux; train their security...blah, fucking blah, blah, blah.
And what we got from your simple inability to rationally analyze Iraq from a diplomatic and historical perspective is the deaths of 600,000 Iraqi civilians and a bunch of Americans, as well as the horrific injuries veterans are suffering from when they come home. Thank God you jack-offs cut Veterans funding! It could get expensive to care for these people properly.
Hide under the quivering Dems' skirts?
You talk fucking tough. But no one has been weaker on national security than republi-cons. It's a fact. It's proven. All you ass-clowns accomplished was to wear-out military equipment without replacing it so that if we HAD to, NEEDED to, defend ourselves we couldn't. That and the massive increase in terrorism that happened under your watch.
All we have ever gotten from you wanna-bes is that hollow Conservative rhetoric of "Shrink government. Limit spending to keep taxes low." Fucking A! Tell me when any of you pansy con-servatives has done any of this shit over the last 30 years.
Rather than piss anyone off by doing a Malkin on your stupid ass, I will be PC. You and your like need to be held as terrorists. Then you should be water-boarded, stuffed upside down in a mummy sleeping bag and beaten to the point of organ failure, then ranked out and ass-fucked by a giant guard. Hell, if it's politically correct enough for the Military Commissions Act and federal legislation, it should be PC enough to wish upon your sorry existence.
Posted by phidipides at November 19, 2006 08:13 AMphid: that troll post was so pathetic that it was not worth answering....but I sure am glad you did. Bravo!
Posted by TIKI AL at November 19, 2006 08:21 AMCol. Thomas Felts Sr., 45.
Pretty simple, it's not getting better in Iraq when top officers start to go down.

Seven of six, oh come on. You know very well that he/she/it is incapable of honest dialogue.

TIKI AL, building the image of McLame has begun. Personally I think we should swiftboat him now, so we can knock him off early. Are we sure this war hero was really a war hero? I hear that he confessed immediately upon being caught. Perhaps those war wounds were self-inflicted, as he knew one day he would be running for President.

Yup. It's like having a severely developmentally delayed adult tell you they want to vote for Nerds -their favorite candy- for President. There's irrationality for a reason.
TIKI AL, building the image of McLame has begun...I hear that he confessed immediately upon being caught.
You are very correct, Judith. He appears to have been a favorite prisoner of the NVA.
Posted by phidipides at November 19, 2006 08:53 AMI think the problem with expecting Bush to tell the truth is that he doesn't know what it is. The first question you need to ask when somebody is peddling complete falsehoods is "who are they trying to fool? me or themself?"
I think with Swaggerman it is clearly an attempt to fool himself, believe the hype surrounding him. The guy has been a miserable failure at everything he has done in his lifetime and probably needs to engage in a bit of self-delusion.
Too bad for us that he does it on our dime as commander-in-chief. He is not even minimally up to the job.
Another question: why is bendejo still here? I can't see any reason to put up with the sniping and lying sack of shit. (ouch, that's a little harsh maybe?).
Posted by angel at November 19, 2006 09:04 AMAnother question: why is bendejo still here?
He is a veteran of the War in Iraq. He serves honorably in the 3rd Blogging Division, Northern North Command, Pacific Operations Organizational Partition (NINCOMPOOP) and has a war wound from his carpal tunnel syndrome. Not from typing. He got it from masturbating the Mad King, idiot son of George.
Posted by phidipides at November 19, 2006 09:24 AMThis article brought tears to my eyes. Capt. Bagley and all the others over there went in with idealistic goals and are heroes for the valient efforts they have made in the face of horrible circumstances. Yesterday I saw a picture of w smirking from a limousine in Vietnam. If there is a hell, for sure he's going there.

I guess my snark doesn't show very well!
I'll have to work on that!
After all there is only one 'snark' here!
Posted by Seven of Six at November 19, 2006 10:10 AMSeven of Six, well you tried. E for effort.
Phidipides, "NINCOMPOOP." Priceless HAHAHAHA

Even Kissinger is saying there's no way to "victory" in Iraq now:
Military victory is no longer possible in Iraq, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in a television interview broadcast Sunday.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/19/AR2006111900287.html
Gotta wonder how Bushie feels about his buddy, Henry, now. And after Bushie's spectacular comment about Iraq during his travels to Vietnam:
"We'll succeed unless we quit," Bush said.
I just have to wonder what the hell he's thinking?

I want in on the sleeping bag part.
"there are a lot of lives lost..a country is at stake..a region is at stake..this is a gigantic situation..this didn't have to be managed this bad..it's just awful" ..that's ken adelman speaking..onetime reagan official and a onetime member of the iraq war brain trust...what in the name of god did gwbush and cheney lead us into..it's almost beyond comprehension..the fraud in the white house..that reptile cheney ..and rumsfeld will be remembered for this debacle forever...and thats a long time
Posted by dennis at November 19, 2006 11:48 AMTraining Iraqis to oppress Iraqis so Bush can steal the oil... Sounds like a plan to me! Actually, the US puppet regime in Iraq will collapse like a house of marked cards the second we start to withdraw our occuping forces, as well it should. Iraq is just another imperial colonial debacle for the USofA in a seemingly repeating series that comes every thirty years or so...
Senator McCuster says send more horses and more men to Little Big Horn...
Cheers.
Posted by james k. sayre at November 19, 2006 11:49 AMPhid - thanks for enlightening me regarding Bendejo's meritorious service. I guess he stays and we rub his nose in it?
Bush finally got to Vietnam. Incurious George is reported to have spent about 30 minutes, maybe less, in situations where he might actually meet a vietnamese person. What a mensch.
Posted by angel at November 19, 2006 11:50 AMand they want to continue down this road..i truly believe that the greatest threat to our national security are these men..it's time for them to be removed for the good of the american people..they ought to be removed from office for what they've done..using lies and deceit
Posted by dennis at November 19, 2006 11:52 AMNo, let's not Impeach Bush.
Let's sit around for two more years and see how destructive Bush can be. Why I bet he can kill at least another 600,000 people, at least 3,000 or more of our military men and women, and still have time to institute martial law. Evidently he hasn't done quite eough damage yet.
Posted by Judith at November 19, 2006 05:43 PMI served with CPT Bagley.
Tough Woman.
I am sad to read about her 2 divorces.
I don't think she would agree with your conclusions, but would agree that we are going about this the wrong way.
