does braunbach live with a redback? he seems to be under the influence of something unpleasant. It causes him to speak

Great post, thanks. Don't know if you've seen these two short videos from Iraq yet or not, but both show the US Military engaging in some very dubious actions. I have them up on my site at www.minor-ripper.blogspot.com ..You have to wonder what these soldiers were thinking when videotaping this stuff...

How about reading pages 44 to 46 from the expanded Foley report? Look for Justin Fields who shared the Foley emails with Matt Miller who was the communications director for the Democratic Caucus. All he wanted to do is leak them to the press. He didn't stand up for the pages. He allowed this pervert to have another 10 months access to pages.

There are Democrats all over the place with this knowledge before ABC reported anything about this in September of this year. Why didn't they protect the pages?

You like Rahm's new job of taking charge of the Democratic message. This is the same guy that knew something about Foley and did nothing. This is the guy who to some was responsible for the takeover next month. Many of you people seem to think he's a dummy, that all the credit should go to Chrm Dean. Which is it folks? Give this DLC'er the message of the Democratic majority. That makes sense.

Has Tony Snow officially crossed the line into being a parody of himself?

Posted by The Zero Boss at December 11, 2006 01:43 PM

I'll be buying Gore's DVD because I saw the movie and I want my family to see it - and it's my way of supporting a man who would be awesome as your President!

What you think of Brownback's proposal must depend on what outcome you imagine he intended to produce. If one thought that confining Cheney to a diplomatic mission of bouncing between leaders of Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia would be sufficient to bring peace, it is a completely daft proposal.

That said it has elements of genius. First, It moves Cheney out of the domestic scene where he can work behind the scenes undermining the nation. Second, it puts him where we can see him. Third, it puts him in an atmosphere where it is almost impossible for him to have any effect whatsoever. That has the promise of frustrating him to the point of madness. Fourth, it makes the US seem to be trying to extend talks to interested parties in the region. Though nobody can take it seriously, it is an important sybolic gesture . Fifth, it breaks up the Cheney-Bush nexus of power which makes both more vulnerable from attack from within their own party and from without. Sixth, even though it makes Cheney more visible, it makes him more distant and thus, perhaps, less influencial in the right fringe. And for Brownback that might be helpful. Seventh, there is a tiny hope that if Cheney is taken to the woodshed often enough, frequently enough, thoroughly enough in the mideast, perhaps he will begin to gain the faintest appreciation of the realities his regime has denied for six or ten years.

It is impossible to believe that Brownback is proposing the move purely out of the interest of the nation, or that he believes it will suffice on its own to solve the problem, but judged in light of the political by-products of the move, it is quite ingenious. The idea of Cheney as a sort of pinball bouncing about the mideast is worthy of a good chuckle, even if it is not great policy.

Your remark about Brownback sparked a thought:

In the wake of Boy George, shouldn't "fitness for the presidency" be a major issue for 2008? If so, now is not too early to start making it one.

As for Tony Snow, he's beyond even self-parody. In his verbal gyrations, he's reminding me of the mythical bird that flies in ever-decreasing circles until it disappears up its own asshole.

Zak44 says: "As for Tony Snow, he's beyond even self-parody. In his verbal gyrations, he's reminding me of the mythical bird that flies in ever-decreasing circles until it disappears up its own asshole."

Did you mean to say "disappears up Bush's asshole"?
Even Tony Snow can't be in 2 places at the same time.

And speaking of assholes, why is that irrelevant crook Tom Delay allowed to go on "Hardball" today and push his new blog (which he says he does not personally write), "tomdelay.com"? Has NBC lost it's corporate mind?

He also spewed "Iraq Surrender Group", and is calling for volunteers to join the armed forces so we can win in Iraq.

I'll bet he can trace his relatives back to the crusade-ocons.

GORE/OBAMA 2008

Posted by Christopher at December 11, 2006 03:42 PM

I have to agree Christopher!

This way Gore will be able to fill his cabinet with some of the other very capable men running for President.
Clark would be a great Sec. of State or Defense.
Edwards could also fill a position if he so chooses. Heck, Mrs. Edwards would make a great Education Sec.
If Gore went really wild, he would name RFK Jr., Sec. of the Interior. I don't think big corp would like that!

Posted by Seven of Six at December 11, 2006 04:22 PM

Why didn't they protect the pages?

Uhhhhh...oh.....uhhhh?! Oh damn! Republi-cons were charged with protecting them, that's why. You morons were the supervisors of that workshift.

Seven of Six,

We must've descended from the same zygote. I so totally agree with your cabinet choices for President-elect Al Gore.

Elizabeth Edwards would make a splendid Education Secretary and Wes Clark can run the Defense Department.

Maybe Gore could find a place for me in his cabinet working as a liaison between himself and the LGBT community???

Posted by Christopher at December 11, 2006 04:59 PM

SoS,

Are you trying to say the Dem talent pool is more like a puddle? That they have a second string but no first? That if they ran a race nobody would win? That their Rip Van Winkle act of the last six years has dulled their senses and lowered their expectations?

Gore/Edwards 08

Brownback is about as qualified to talk about solutions for the Middle East as he is to discuss Planned Parenthood options for pregnant teenagers.

What's your opinions about the Iran holocaust denial conference?

Posted by Red Wolf at December 11, 2006 05:51 PM

My great uncle died at Auschwitz.
He had too many beers and fell out of the guardtower.

TIKI, My cousin was found dead today. I don't have all the facts; the when, the where, all I know is they notified one of my cousin's today.
Love these peaceful streets of Phoenix!

7: If the police are keeping your cousin in the dark on the details, there may have been foul play. My best stress relieving thoughts are with you and your family.
