Simply put: if we know Bin Laden and the Al Qaeda leadership are in the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where we left him since Tora Bora, why aren’t we going in after him? And why can’t the Democrats beat Bush over the head on this issue as being weak on terrorism?
Agree. Why hasn't this been pushed even heavier? This resonates with folks a lot more than Saddam ever did, and with the terrorist alerts and Bin Laden tapes it should be more evident to the American voters that this president hasn't in fact been focused on the War on Terror and has diverted resources into a war of choice. I know Dean and Clark have spoke of this and maybe once the field gets smaller, the message will get clearer. Right now I think with some many candidates, and the consistent anti-Dean theme of the last couple months offer the Bush people cover for the fuckups they've initiated.
