Comments: Bush: Belligerent Bully

I love the gall of this rhetorical posture. By defining "success" as "the thing I want in the way I want it", you automatically eliminate all the many plans that have been offered to do something else, because you can say they are not a plan for "success." So, one can pretend there never was an ISG plan, or a Murtha, or a McGovern, or any of the many other suggestions, because they all suggest withdrawal, and Bush has defined "success" as military victory, not withdrawal. He is essentially saying "It's not fair to criticize my plan for military escalation without offering your own plan for a better military escalation."

Sadly, my intellectual admiration for the crafty audacity of his rhetoric is overwhelmed by my grief over the hundreds of thousands of deaths such crap has led to.

Actually his testicles are the same size as his brain.
He has the classic bully attitude:
He uses bravado to replace his lack of courage.

Courage to not just say he was wrong, but the courage to actually listen to what others are saying and plot a new policy.

Classic overcompensation

Posted by Mark at January 13, 2007 10:33 AM

You are right when you say that all Bush has planned in the past and anything he plans in the future is nothing but bullshit. There have been plans put forth as you stated by Dems and the Iraq Study Group and they have been rejected by the idiot in charge because if he accepted any of these plans he would have to admit all his blunders and lies. What gets me is that most pundits have allowed this administration to get away with the statements that no one else has any plan. It is total bullshit.

Posted by chris at January 13, 2007 10:42 AM

I have to disagree with your assumption about the size of bushits testicles. They are, I'm guessing, small and shriveled up, disused (would you poke that plastic thing that is his wife?), and entirely unremarkable except in their smallness. The only thing smaller on this idiot is his brain. We are in serious trouble unless some adult takes his toys away, toys that can destroy humanity. Think I'm being alarmed beyond reason? Then you aren't paying attention.

Posted by kerryinalaska at January 13, 2007 10:43 AM

No alternate plan, eh?

Paging Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Jimmy to the microphone, please.....

Will the Dems let this lying, manipulative bullshit go unanswered? Will the press cover their answer?

Posted by euzoius at January 13, 2007 10:46 AM

I agree with kerryinalaska, Bush's emotional and psychological profile resembles what I'll call "small man complex."

To borrow a phrase from Big Tent Democrat over at Talk Left: He stuffs his shorts

"If his brain were as big as his testicles we wouldn’t be in this mess."

Actually, literally and figuratively, Freddo's balls are well below the national average. This condition is quite common in cowardly, incompetent, verbally overcompensating corporate ballwashers. However, this is not about, by or for Bush or any those things he calls "thoughts" from that thing he calls a "mind." Bush is just Ed Reimers for AllState; always was, always will be. He'll do what he's told unless he wants "those photos" to turn up in the supermarket checkout line tabloids.

This is the handiwork of Richard B. "Total Dick" Cheney and his cowardly, delusional, pencil neck, needle dick, neoconservative acolytes...Addington, Hannah, Wurmser, Hadley, etc. You can tell because it's completely inimical to America's national interest and enriches Mr. Five Deferment's and his corporate patrons. It's how Mr. Other Priorities has always worked...sort of like the ultimate anti-Marshall Plan. It's also why most of the world hates us, by the way.

"To oppose everything while proposing nothing is irresponsible," Bush said.

ROFL! This idiot is describing the past 12 years of GOP-dominance in the Congress and he's too stupid to realize it.

Posted by Christopher at January 13, 2007 11:35 AM

We saw this same belligerence at the first of the year in concession to the loss of control of congress, only more forceful now - this tinpot is going to disband congress as obstucionist and declare matial law. That it is statistically impossible to enforce is moot, they're reading from a playbook and they're gonna' play it out.

It really is time to start thinking about alternatives.

doggone laptop keyboard - obstructionist, martial.

"To oppose everything while proposing nothing is irresponsible," Bush said in the radio address.

Let's see, as compared to agreeing with everything that is proposed from the neocon think tank and the 3K's (Kristol, Keane, KagaN)who were responsible for the Perpetual War and who where wrong about everything at every point along the way, now that is what you consider is being responsible Junior? No,I call that insanity and opposing that is taking responsibility!

Posted by emal at January 13, 2007 12:47 PM

Wasn't the Baker-Hamilton Report an alternate plan for Iraq? Why Bush is saying that opponent to his plan should propose an alternate plan? It looks to me nobody in the Whitehouse has explained this to Bush.

Posted by suresh at January 13, 2007 12:48 PM

Exactly, suresh.

Dem leaders should arrange an immediate press conference with Baker and Hamilton at their side and ask Nero: "Remember that meetin' you had with these two guys? [Uncle Jimmy waves on cue] Why isn't their report a "plan"? They told you it was a plan, didn't they? Who told you it wasn't?"

How much ammo can the Dems be given? Get out the heavy artillery rhetoric. Every tube should be brought to bear on this devious, lying, failed turd of a "president".

Good God, phidipides is an idiot. And you, Judith, find his/her postings amusing. Oh well, I guess a fool is entertained by an idiot.

Re: Bendito @ 05:36 PM

1. Obviously the left is more given to uncouth and dimwitted jesting than to matters of national security.

Translation: Not to love der Fuhrer ist a big disgrace.

2. Leftists aren't just touting surrender, but demanding a surrender that would be as much of a disaster as possible, an end to the Iraqi democracy, anarchy, civil war and genocide.

Translation: Please disregard the Republican and conservative opposition to escalation and support for withdrawal from this "strategic disaster of epic proportions" (LG William E. Odom) in which I have invested so much of my dreary fucked up meaningless existence. Hey, wanna join my Freikorps Klub?

3. All out of spiteful hate for one man.

Translation: Der Fuhrer ist zo kind to zmall doggies unt kinders. (See also 1. above.)

4. It takes a real lowlife to refuse to send badly needed reinforcements.

Translation: No reserves? Well extend those in country and acclerate the next rotations. And tell Petraeus to show some results if he wants his wife and kids to stay healthy. What, enlist? Me? Naw, I got other priorities. Hey, wanna join my Freikorps Klub?

Pvt. Keepout,

Well, your posting is, demonstrably, the reason you are still a Private.

So figuratively speaking..if Iraq is a sinking ship....Titantic.. you shouldn't jump-off and swim to shore. But , using Bush's theory allow 21,500 brave soilders to jump-on-board- and help start bailing water out of the lower decks.

W is an idiot. Where is the WMD? He lied to get us into Iraq and is playing politics with the lives of American soilders.

Posted by americanforliberty at January 13, 2007 09:16 PM

Bagley,

At least I wore the uniform, voluntarily, in a war and under fire. And you?

At least I've actually seen American kids shot, burnt, dying and dead for our leader's lies. And you?

At least I learned what Smedley Butler meant when he said, "War is a racket." And you?

So how many kids from the Bagley household will you allow jackasses like Freddo, Total Dick and their neocon associates to fling through the gates of hell for some sutling's bottom line? Or is it OK as long as it's other people's kids?

Whatsa matter Baggy. Talking about no balls hit too close to home?

Stand and die in Iraq!!!!

Good God, phidipides is an idiot.

You never answered part of a previous question:

Is it your desire for war -and killing and maiming and torturing humans and hatred of those less than you- the stuff that makes you a christian?
