Have we officially entered the "pick a side and win" phase? Will the "job" be done soon over there now?
Historians at the ready, positive bush legacy ahead!
Posted by TIKI AL at January 29, 2007 03:25 PMOT, but I just have to mention that I heard Juan Williams' "Senior political correspondent" interview with Bush. I must admit, I was VERY impressed with Juan's ability to enunciate so clearly while sucking so hard on George's diminutive dick.
It was truly repugnant! Not ONCE did Juan ever follow up or challenge the most egregious assertions of the Cardboard Cowboy. A more disgusting, reverential, breathless pandering, I have never heard from a so-called journalist.
I had an immediate vision of the venerated "pundit" class, all speaking without cessation while they manipulated the mighty cocktail weenies, their only source of sustenance, with their facile lips, never missing a talking point. Then, I reflected, George's member was probably a very comfortable, familiar size to Juan's, ever so experienced lips. Perhaps, my admiration was misplaced.
Posted by DeminNewJ at January 29, 2007 03:26 PMThe US is now picking sides in Shiite religious disputes? The article below is from August and covers the Shiite sect in question. I'm betting there is some serious blowback on our troops from this fiasco.

Posted by Gareth G at January 29, 2007 03:43 PMThe important point here is that the military and our government are lying and deceiving us again about the facts in Iraq. From abductions of soldiers in Karbala to "insurgents" that can't be identified, stories are now routinely being made up to suit Bushco policy.
They simply cannot be trusted to tell the truth, and our state press refuses to recognize this. Information is going to become increasigly unreliable.
Posted by euzoius at January 29, 2007 04:00 PMDem: You are just catching on to Fox Noise Uncle Jaun Williams psuedo-dem act now?
Al,
No, I've known for years that he and Mara Lyason(sp?) have had more lucrative gigs on Fox News for something like 7 years. It was just that I was on my homeward, hour-long commute and I decided to listen to the "decider" to hear if he would spew something significantly different.
I was morbidly impressed by the grotesque deference with which old Juan begged the prez'dent to "please" give us some reason to support his position on the illegal occupation. Since I was in my car, I couldn't just heave. I seemed to build up quite a resentment. As a supporter and contributor to NPR for more than 15 years, previously, I truly resent its degeneration into a right wing clone.
Posted by DeminNewJ at January 29, 2007 05:58 PMSpeaking of lying and making up fantasy stories, you better believe that George is going to tell us, in the very near future, that the surge is working and success is just around the cornor.
Posted by Judith at January 29, 2007 06:49 PMHere's how jaded I am. When I heard the story, I laughed. Killing insurgents sounds good doesn't it. I asked myself the same question, who were the insurgents? Did they really kill anyone? Again, from here on out, expect made-up success stories to be in the news, so Bush can prove that everyone was wrong, and he was right.
Posted by Judith at January 29, 2007 06:57 PM....rather bleak that Gates and Bobo were both rattling the Iran sabre today.....ratchet, ratchet
Posted by Goyo at January 29, 2007 09:11 PMinsurgents. now there is a loaded word.
i think it is the word that the brits used to describe the colonials who defied that georgist empire.
let us get the phraseology straight. the opponents of the us invasion are iraq patriots. if the iranians get involved, it will be similar to the french becoming involved and assisting our ancestors to defeat cornwallis at yorktown.
that is the reality.
