Wont most of the big money donors be committed to someone else by september? I'm not sure that it's possible to wait that long before entering the race anymore.

It won't matter. Fundraising won't be an issue for Gore, money will flow like water for his candidacy.

It will, however, piss off the Clinton camp. Not so much Obama.... I think Obama's time is in the future or even as VP on the ticket.

Did I mention how much I despise the Clinton candidacy?

People waited for Mario Cuomo back in the 80's. He never ran. I think people need to stop speculating and hoping that Gore runs and proceed as though he won't. Otherwise people will get really disappointed when he in fact does not run.
