My favorite are the cars that display a yellow ribbon and a "I vote pro-life" ribbon. They really don't see their hypocrisy.
Posted by Judith at March 4, 2007 04:38 AMfor most pro lifers..human rights stops as soon as you're born..as soon as they have to reach into they're pockets..they become republicans
Posted by dennis at March 4, 2007 04:55 AMYou don't see many GOP stickers these days. Their own candidates wouldn't state their party affiliation on campaign ads during the last election cycle. Amazing how the cockroaches flee from the light.

Posted by Davis X. Machina at March 4, 2007 08:46 AMHere is a fabulous video that I found from Mica Sifry on the hypocrisy of the Yellow Ribbons and that I posted on my blog. It is from the Asylum Street Spankers. They take “Put a Yellow Ribbon on that Old Oak Tree” and turn it into “Stick Magnetic Ribbons on Your SUV.” Good music, great visual comedy, and tragedy all in one.

I guess it turns out that investing in faux patriotism does have a downside. Bummer!
There is only one sticker on my car, Kerry/Edwards. It will stay there until 2008 elections.
Posted by Judith at March 4, 2007 09:27 AMDon't worry, Bushco's attack on Iran will turn the putrid yellow ribbon "market" around.
Posted by euzoius at March 4, 2007 09:40 AMMy fav is one that is a red/white/blue one that has the text "Just pretend that everything is ok"
Posted by Simp at March 4, 2007 10:01 AMLast October, Susis Madrak shared this YouTube by the Asylum Street Spankers. It is called "Stick Magnetic Ribbons on your SUV". It's a classic. Here's the link.
