Hey! Democratic Party! Consult This!

by pessimist

It's time for you so-called consultants - the ones who think you know what's going on - to step aside and stop subverting the nation. You are only doing the work of the RNC devils who took you on those cushy junkets to exotic locales in order to get blackmail data on you for the purposes of control.

Real Americans are not as you present. They are on to Bu$hCo, and it is only you who are tossing the cold water on the angry embers burning in your land. Case in point - the latest scandal involving the 'leadership' of this nation is just getting going:

Not really funny

The reason Cheney's mishap provoked such an outpouring of humor ... is that underneath this episode is a truth so unpleasant it is hard to speak of seriously and directly:

The vice president is a gruff, rich, indifferent, hardhearted SOB devoted to serving the needs of his business buddies. His office has so little respect for the American public that it would wait nearly a full day after the vice president shot somebody before making the news public, and then do it through a Texas socialite spilling to a local paper.

The president, meanwhile, is an affable goof busily bankrupting the country by pushing tax breaks to the wealthy while running an unpopular war that nobody even talks about ending anytime soon.

This awareness is reaching people in such large numbers, EVEN FAUX NEWS CAN'T SPIN IT:

Fox: trapped by its own facts

Fox News bit its own ass with two polls. In one poll, Fox viewers stated conclusively that the United States would be better off with Democrats in office. In the second poll, viewers went down the list of issues and chose which party aligned more closely with their opinions.

Surprise! It's Dems again in a landslide!

You guys convinced the Democratic leaders to stab Paul Hackett in the back. What are you going to do to these 26 courageous Americans?

25 US Reps for Bush Impeachment Probe
Atlanta Progressive News

"There is an awakening, a growing awareness of the deceit of which this administration has been engaged," US Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) told an audience at Cornell University, according to Hinchey’s "loudest applause came when he mentioned the I-word. He says if Democrats can retake the House, ‘There will be people in the Congress who will bring impeachment actions’," reports.
Over 12% of US House Democrats now support the impeachment probe; almost 6% of all US House Representatives now support the probe. In December 2005, there were 231 Republicans in the US House, 202 Democrats, 1 Independent, and 1 vacancy, a clerk for the US House of Representatives told Atlanta Progressive News.

This continues to mark a slow, steady shift towards an impeachment probe. Every few days or so, Atlanta Progressive News has announced new cosponsors for H. Res 635 as the separate debate over Bush’s authorization of illegal domestic wiretapping rages like wildfire.

The current 25 total co-sponsors are Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI), Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Rep. Lois Capps (D-CA), Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-MO), Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), Rep. Sam Farr (D-CA), Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), Rep. Mike Honda (D-CA), Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX), Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA), Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA), Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI), Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Rep. James Oberstar (D-MN), Rep. Major Owens (D-NY), Rep. Donald Payne (D-NJ), Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), Rep. Fortney Pete Stark (D-CA), Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA).

The best represented states on H. Res 635 are California (8), Georgia (2), New York (6), and Wisconsin (2).

US Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) ... has called for Bush’s resignation, according to a World Can’t Wait statement issued to Atlanta Progressive News.

Even the Republicans cannot hide from this awareness that Bu$hCo has violated us:

US Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), a moderate Republican chairing the wiretapping hearings in the Senate, told George Stephanopoulos during a television program, impeachment would be the standard remedy, at least in theory, if Bush has broken the law. "Well, the remedy could be a variety of things. Impeachment is a remedy. After impeachment, you could have a criminal prosecution, but the principal remedy, George, under our society is to pay a political price," Senator Specter said on January 15, 2006.

Polling indicates that the American people are in the majority against the actions of Bu$hCo:

Meanwhile, the first professional poll conducted by Zobgy International commissioned by Rob Kall, Editor of OpEdNews, a progressive news agency, found that 54% of all 850 Pennsylvanian respondents supported impeachment of President Bush if his authorization of domestic wiretapping is concluded to be illegal.

US Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) asked four legal scholars to analyze the grounds for Bush’s impeachment in December 2005. Perhaps these scholars’ opinions, in conjunction with congressional hearings on the NSA domestic wiretapping issue, will allow for the spying’s legality or illegality to be concluded with more certainty.

So there is only one thing to do - destroy the opposition of your ma$ter$ before they can score any hits. You 'consultants' have to take down the center-left blogs which threaten to again awaken the Democratic opposition to Bu$hCo and cause them to have to take more-extreme measures to ensure their continued mi$-rule.

Are you Americans, or are you mice?

Your actions speak volumes in defining you that your words do not.

Stop trying to tell us that you are 'waiting for the right issue' before you act. That day will never come. Stop trying to tell us that you are 'saving your political strength'. You wouldn't know what that was if you were formally introduced to it with a map, photos and a guide dog handled by a Boy Scout.

The reality is that Bu$hCo is seriously damaged, and it is vulnerable. Bernard Weiner, Co-Editor of The Crisis Papers, just wrote this examination of the situation:

Even though the Bush Bunker crew is greatly weakened and harassed, they still control the organs of authority in this country -- with most of the corporate-owned mass-media still doing their bidding -- and they seem willing to do whatever is required to keep themselves in power. Cornered beasts are at their most dangerous in such trapped circumstances.

They certainly are cornered! When was the last time Dick Cheney ever apologized for ANYTHING??? Never that I am aware of!

These @$$hole$ are scared - and there isn't anything to which they won't stoop to protect themselves from the consequences of their actions. They know that the people aren't so easily controlled anymore (which is the point of the FAUX polls). They know that the center-left blogs have influence (as the uproar over what should have been a pro forma confirmation of ScAlito demonstrated). They would like to destroy that opposition as quickly and quietly as possible, so they pull the strings of their 'Democtratic Consultants' to turn the party awareness away from reality and back toward the second-class permanency that they are intended to occupy.

If this works, it's all over. But what if it doesn't?

Weiner had this to say about that situation:

In short, friends, even or especially in this period when Bush&Co. are taking blow after blow to the body and head, I'm scared. Both because of what Karl Rove might have in store for us in the near-term but, in case his tactics were to work, also at what lies ahead for America in the long-term. Whatever it is, it ain't going to be pretty.

Some posit that so desperate are the Bush forces to regain the support of the American population that there might be another claimed domestic "terrorist attack" in the works that the Bush folks will tell us they nipped in the bud before it happened, much like their unverified claim that they supposedly broke up a terrorist plot in Los Angeles years ago.

Or conceivably, that they will choose to look the other way again, similar to their pre-9/11 behavior, and allow such a terrorist incident to happen, to hype the fear factor.
And it just so happens that such an attack -- pure "coincidence," of course -- will precede a midterm election in the United States. "Don't change horses in the middle of a war" will be the GOP meme; rally 'round the flag, boys.

Their aim is to frighten just enough American citizens to eke out a "victory" in November -- as they claimed to have done in 2000 and 2004, ignoring the likelihood of electoral fraud. If they can pull another electoral rabbit out of the hat, they will feel politically secure for the final two years of Bush's term, and somewhat insulated from the possibility of being held accountable for their sins of commission and omission, especially through the impeachment process.

This is where the usage of the 'Democratic Consultants' is so very important. The GOP just have to hang on to enough of their carefully-constructed image long enough to hold them over until they can play their Diebold trump card, as Weiner points out:

But unless we can ensure honest balloting procedures, and non-corrupted vote-counting, our votes will count for nought; there will be no social progress and our country will move even further into becoming a militarized, one-party, neo-fascist state.

It comes down to this. There is no Democratic Party for people to turn to. We can't even be sure that the electoral system can work as it is supposed to (see the latest voting fiasco in Haiti, where even the guy who is winning the vote says it was tainted!).

I don't believe for one minute that if the American people were to magically vote out every incumbent (regardless of party affiliation) that the election would be allowed to stand. There is too much to lose for the powers-that-be to just accept the will of the people. They will prefer to keep the facade that America is a functioning democracy in place for their world image, but nothing will be allowed to interfere with their plans.

In short, we're down to the wire. I don't know if we can save this nation. It may be too late for that. But I'll be damned if I'm going to passively allow these bastards to consolidate their ill-gotten gains for the purposes of expanding their power. I will continue to promote the idea of voting non-traditional in whatever sham elections this nation continues to hold, for that is the only way the truth can get out to the rest of the world. I know from following recent news reports that they are making plans to bring this nation down economically should there be no other way to maintain equilibrium. A big non-traditional vote will alert them that their time has come.

I would rather not have to resort to this, but the alternative is much worse. The Corporatists are already seeking to implant us with RFID tags for better control, and they are experimenting with behavior control using such devices. Is this the sort of life you want for your children?

This isn't freedom - no matter what the 'Democratic Consultants' of the corporo-fascist RNC tell you.
