NYT Jumps On The Iran War Bandwagon

by Steve

As Glenn Greenwald noted today, why did the New York Times’ Michael Gordon write a story that could have been written by the Office of the Vice President?

Gordon writes a story accusing the Iranian government of committing acts of war against the United States based solely on allegations made by one American general, without a second source. And Gordon writes the story knowing that there won’t be a top-level caution from the military brass because Bush has cleared out any dissenters since the last time the administration accused the Iranian government of directly arming the militias and insurgents.

Bill Keller must want another war.
